Making your website work for you

Did you know that your website should be working FOR you? Yes! It should be converting visitors into raving fans and paying customers. If that's not happening for you, well... you might have a lazy website - or one that's in need of a refresher. In this episode, we're talking about the things you should incorporate into your website to make it produce!

Here’s a few things to consider when it comes to making your site work for you:

  1. Use your site to build your email list - by offering downloads, freebies and other items of value, you can capture visitors’ email addresses so that you can be proactive at communicating with them. This may look like email newsletters, email offers, etc.

  2. Your website should talk to your client - don’t write up your website to read like a resume full of your team’s experience and accolades. While that may be important and something to be proud of, your site visitors want to feel like you know them, you get them and you can help them. So be sure to speak their language and speak to their interests.

  3. Make it easy to engage with you - Whatever it is you want your site visitors to do, make it plain and simple. Request a consultation, donate online, shop your store, download a free webinar… whatever it might be, don’t make the site visitor work to hard for it. They won’t and they’ll click off faster than they clicked on.

  4. Fortune is in the follow up - so be sure you follow up. If you say you’re gonna send them a checklist… do it or have a process that automatically does it. If there’s a contact form, be sure it works and that it goes to someone who can follow up immediately. When forms and links don’t work properly, you’re losing the trust and interest of our site visitor.

If you want to know if your site works properly or reads in a way that converts site visitors to buyers, just ask! We offer complimentary site reviews and we’ll let you know what isn’t working and what might be improved upon! Just hit the consultation button here and get started!
