Facebook features you may be overlooking

While Facebook has been around awhile, and most likely you’ve been a user for some time now, there are probably a few features you hadn’t thought about using to promote your business. In this week’s vlog, we’re looking at four ways to use Facebook for your business promotions. Here’s a recap:

  1. Facebook’s Check-In feature - a great way to get your audience engaged when they stop at your location. Consider making this an incentive to get customers and clients to “check-in” at your office, storefront or location.

  2. Your personal Facebook feed - while you can’t go all willy-nilly at posting business content on your personal page, you can share genuine updates that take your friends behind the scenes. They are curious about what you do, so give the people what they want! It will help them remember you when they come across someone who needs your services.

  3. Live video - I know this is a scary concept for some, but videos (especially live videos) are all the rage and a sure-fire way to get your audience hooked on your content. The trick is to keep it real and fun. Too polished and you’ve lost your audience. Have a topic and a few key points you want to make. Wrap it up with a call to action (something you want them to do in response to the video) and voila! You have yourself a live!

  4. Facebook groups - Groups are great communities online that are conversational and engaging. If you look, you’ll find Facebook groups for just about anything — but especially groups where your ideal customers and clients are hanging out. Get into these groups and start commenting, sharing tips, offering advice, and creating relationships. It’s a great way to meet some new followers who will likely become clients and customers.

So… which one are you going to try first? I’d love to know! Leave me a comment below and tell me all about it!
