Debunking the myths of website platforms

Wordpress. Wix. Weebly. GoDaddy. Squarespace. These are just a few “platforms” that are allowing a more simplified approach to web design. And while there are some companies who need to have completely custom-built site, platforms are allowing a quicker, most cost-effective way to create your very own corner of the internet. These platforms offer the best of both worlds…. a do-it-yourself site design utilizing one of the preformed templates, and you have the option to tap into a designer who can take the platform and custom create a site for you, again… at a fraction of the cost and time.

Here at Content By Request, we’re an exclusive Squarespace design firm. That means, our platform of choice is Squarespace… and we could give you A LOT of reasons why (that’s another blog for another time). But here’s what I want you to takeaway from this post and video…. platforms are not bad. Find the right platform, match up with a great designer and voila! You have a dynamite website that you can easily maintain and manage rather than fighting with complicated coding and backend dashboards that don’t comply.

Are you considering a refresh to your site or looking to launch a new one? We’ll be happy to give you our honest recommendation on what platform is best for as well as the pros and cons for the alternative choices. Not sure your site is performing at its best? We can offer you a complimentary site evaluation that will show you how to leverage your site for more influence.

And as always… we’re here to help you show up consistently and effectively online, in print and person. Let us know how we can help you!
